What is the meaning of life?

Why are we here?

Where are we going?

I think all of us have thought about these questions at some stage. Some of us have pondered hard, others just a little. But at the end of the day, all of us deep down have a desire to have these questions answered. It is like a hole in us that wants to be filled. Some of us fill this hole with other things that give us a reason to live, a reason to get up in the morning.

But I reckon we all get to a stage and ask: “Is this as good as it gets?” And we are disappointed when we think the answer is yes.

But the truth is, there is a God and he made us. God made that hole in us to fill it with him. Like that saying in the movie Jerry Macguire “You complete me.” That is what God does. And he completes us perfectly, he will never disappoint us. With God we can ask the question: “Is this as good as it gets?” And we know the answer is no. Because there is always more and then there is perfect life in heaven.

What are you talking about you ask? “How can God fill this hole, how can God complete me?” God loves us so much and all he would like us to do is just acknowledge who he is and love him back. He will do the rest, we just need to let him.

It is as simple as that!

There are no magic wands or quick fixes. There is no do this and get that – it is not about doing deals.  This is not about being struck on the head with a lightning bolt or waking up tomorrow and everything is perfect. It is not about being religious or being good.
